Otto Peter Friedrich Bemberg (Cologne, May 1, 1827 – Paris, March 2, 1895) was a German businessman, financier and industrialist, initiator of the economic empire and dynasty of the Argentine “Casa Bemberg”.
On October 31, 1890, the production and sale of the modern distillery began, with the brand that rescued the old indigenous denomination of the place: Quilmes, native tribe of Tucumán that had to emigrate to the Province of Buenos Aires.
He married María Luisa Ocampo Regueira (1831-1920) and they had four children, among them Rosa Bemberg, Herman Bemberg and Otto Sebastián, who consolidated the economic power of the family by incorporating other brands and breweries such as Schlau and Palermo.
By Decree 14,205/53, it was authorized to propose as a form of payment of the Group, what it owed in taxes. It is clear that the tax authorities made use of the credit that the holding company had generated with its evading attitude.
By virtue of the credit provided by Law 14395, and the Bemberg Group having become a State-owned company in the southern summer of 1955, by the constitutional government headed by President Perón, the Bemberg Group was judicially liquidated by Law 14,122. While the forestry branch of the group became a workers’ cooperative.

Together with the General Secretariat of the Province of Buenos Aires, the Municipality of General Pueyrredón and Fundación Eidos, we conducted workshops to prevent teenagers from drinking alcoholic beverages.
In the framework of the Responsible Drinking Day, we reinforced our message about #CeroAlVolante: if I drink, I don’t drive. In different parts of the country, we went out together to talk and raise awareness about the importance of responsible alcohol consumption.

We started to look differently, and created Authenticity, our Diversity and Inclusion program, with which each person can develop his or her best version. Who we are: We are authentic and we want to build an environment without labels, with respect and pride. That’s what Authenticity is all about.
That is why, from our collaborative platform of social impact, we articulate the Humanitarian Aid Plan “Entre todos, lo damos vuelta” at the federal level, focused on health and community initiatives.

Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes (seɾβeseɾi.a i malteˈɾi.a ˈkilmes]) es una empresa argentina de bebidas fundada en 1890 en la ciudad de Quilmes, en el Gran Buenos Aires. La empresa fue creada por Otto Bemberg, un inmigrante alemán, en 1890 como fabricante de cerveza[5] Desde 2002, Quilmes es propiedad de AmBev, el mayor fabricante de cerveza del mundo[6].
Además de cerveza, la empresa embotella y comercializa aguas embotelladas, refrescos, bebidas deportivas, bebidas energéticas y vinos, a través de varias marcas (algunas de ellas propiedad de la empresa matriz Ambev y otras marcas bajo licencias de PepsiCo, Nestlé, entre otras)[7].
Quilmes ha fabricado diversas variedades de cerveza a lo largo de los años, como las de baja graduación, bock, stout, lager, red lager, lager y pilsner. Quilmes es el mayor fabricante de cerveza de Argentina[8].
El inmigrante Otto Bemberg, que había llegado a Argentina en 1852, estableció una fábrica de cerveza en la ciudad de Quilmes en 1890. Su producto se comercializaba con el nombre de Quilmes, que era la antigua denominación indígena de la ciudad. La empresa donó dinero para construir el hospital de Quilmes en 1918[5].
